XP
From Amia Wiki
You can travel the lands and do battle with many different creatures to earn experience and gold, as well as obtain these as bonuses from the DMs for your roleplay (see the Role-Play Awards for more information). Searching monster's corpses will sometimes reveal an item that can be used or sold for additional gold. Here is the formula we use to assign rewards for defeating monsters:
- Adjust Creature CR, if applicable
- If creature CR is less than 1.0, use (1.0 - ((1.0 - CR) * 5.0).
- Calculate party level
- Party level is average of all PCs in the same area.
- Effective character level is used.
- Party level does not include associates.
- Calculate XP
- Level = ( CR - party level ) + 10.0.
- If level < 0.0, use 0.0.
- XP = ( ((0.96 * level * level) - (1.2 * level)) / 4 ).
- If Creature CR >= 9, cap XP to 2 * CR.
- Calculate and apply XP multiplier due to party number
- Associates are not counted, only PCs.
- 1 party member = 1.0
- 2 party members = 1.025
- 3 party members = 1.05
- 4 party members = 1.075
- 5 party members = 1.1
- 6+ party members = NO XP AWARDED
- Calculate gold given to PCs
- CR < 8 = 1-30
- CR 9-14 = 31-75
- CR 15-24 = 76-150
- CR > 24 150-225
- Gold is equally divided amongst PC party members.
Other Rules
- PCs in a different area to do not receive gold or XP.
- PCs that are dead to do not receive gold or XP.
- PCs at the maximum level (ECL of 30) get 1 XP.
- No gold and 1 xp is given to all if the difference between the highest and lowest PC is more than 5 levels.
